We started EROTICA REVEALED in what seemed to be an absence of a coherent critical response to a central vein of modern literature.

While there are places to find the equivalent of ‘upbeat consumer reports’ or ‘man on the street’ opinions, there are few places to look for experienced, thoughtful criticism about the erotic in literature.

Don’t expect to find inflated praise or artificial cheerfulness here. Do expect to find instead, a genuine enthusiasm for graceful and imaginative writing about sex.

Erotica Revealed seeks to uncover the good, the bad and everything in between in contemporary erotica. This site has been established for the sole purpose of reviewing erotic literature of all stripes: straight, gay, lesbian, bi, trans, S/M, vanilla, B/D, fetish, smut, edgy, nasty, happy, raw, comfortable, loving, etc.

Erotica Revealed is not a romance review site. We review only books classified as Erotica—and we tell the truth, as we see it.
